My Christopher Box
Once again, I open the closet door
and there you are
staring at me, piercing at my heart.
The contents of you are so precious
I take you to our special place
Slowly I caress your lid so gently until
finally I can open you.
So begins My Christopher Box by Kelly Pelosi. The poem reflects on one woman's memories of her baby as she opens her memory box and goes through its contents. Originally we intended to only include this with our Memory Box, but we have had requests for extra copies to put in other memory boxes or to frame. Printed on the finest paper in metallic gold ink, it makes a perfect small memento. (A Place To Remember, 5" x 7")
