  • Parent's Place Discussion Forum is an open forum for parents of babies born prematurely.

  • Peeny Weeny Baby. Premature baby clothing and accessories. This company is located in the United Kingdom, so I assume shipping to the US and other than EU countries would be kind of expensive... but it is a good stop for our EU preemie parents.
  • Preemie-L Discussion Forum, is a very active site where you can communicate about all topics related to preemies. In a recent 4-day period, we noted almost 200 entries! Also check out the Preemie-L Homepage.
  • Preemie Magainzine. Although it is the site to plug Preemie Magazine, the info you can get their is wonderful! Site includes info on finding a support group, listing of resources, online forums and online live chat. Also includes a Birthday Club, a Prayer Page, and an Angel Page, as well as archive of the magazine articles.
  • Preemie Clothes & Accessories from Zach's 5th Avenue, featuring affordable quality clothing and accessories for the premature and low birth weight baby
  • Preemie Group. A support group for parents of preemies. We offer many resources from the NICU through school age. The members are supportive,warm and friendly who have a wealth of knowledge when it comes to preemie related issues.
  • Preemie Miracles. A Yahoo list group for parents of premature babies and also moms-to-be who may be at risk for delivering early and may have questions for mother's of premature infants and children.   • PrematureBaby.org This is a site designed around a group of moms, dads, grandparents of premature babies/children.
    They gather together and offer support, friendship and a postive outlook on parenting preemies young and old. They are proud of their children and the obstacles and milestones they overcome. They also have a forum for interested members.

  • Cosco Consumer Relations Catalog available for purchasing car seats, strollers, cribs, high chairs, etc. Web page includes detailed information and photos of the many products offered, as well as a "Where To Shop" guide.
  • Evenflo Consumer Affairs Feeding products and baby accessories. While there is not a catalog available, there are brochures available that describe their products. The web page offers full product information and photos.
  • Fisher Price "Toy Fare" catalog available for $5. Catalog includes all Fisher Price toys, clothing, baby monitors, and other products.
  • Gerber Baby Products There is not a catalog available, but there are brochures and informational packets which are available. This phone number is staffed 24 hours/day. There is also a mailing list to receive coupon packets and information about their baby foods, infant formula, and feeding products. The web page is comprehensive and allows consumers an opportunity to ask questions of the Gerber Product Specialists.
  • The Gymboree Corporation On-line store for purchasing baby clothes. Also, information about the Gymboree infant classes.
  • High Risk Pregnancy. What exactly does it mean when you are told you have a "high risk" pregnancy. Understandable article written by an MD.
  • Iowa Women's Health Center has a wonderfully extensive site that includes information on bedrest, emotions during pregnancy, pregnancy problems and risks, and many other important information pages.
  • Johnson & Johnson Johnson & Johnson does not have a catalog, nor do they accept direct customer orders. However, they have product information packets and a mailing list.
  • La Leche League International is an organization providing women with breastfeeding information and support. Call to find out where your local chapter is located. LaLeche League also offers support groups in major cities throughout the country. Offers a helpful web page. Women can submit questions via e-mail for answer by a qualified lactation consultant. Information is also available for women breastfeeding premature infants or multiples.
  • Le Petite Baby This company is the world's largest supplier of clothing for premature (weighing less than seven pounds) infants. Their on-line store allows for purchase of clothing.
  • Mary Searcy's Pre-term Labor Resources, offers reviews of materials on bedrest and on problem pregnancies.
  • Medela Rental Services Breast-pump rentals. Web-page offers information and on-line lactation consultants to answer questions.
  • Mothers of Supertwins (MOST) is an international non-profit support network of families with triplets and more. MOST provides information, resources, empathy and good humor during pregnancy, infancy, toddlerhood and school age. Use our online form to join MOST and receive their Quarterly Magazine.
  • Mother's Nature On-line shopping available. This company offers cloth diapers, nursing clothes, baby slings and carriers, and more.
  • National Organization of Mothers of Twins Clubs, Inc. is a great web site offering a wealth of information about parenting twins. They oversee Twins Clubs all over the country, and the web-site will help you locate a club near you.

  • Sidelines Canada. Canada's national non-profit network supporting families experiencing complicated pregnancies. Includes information, articles, links and feedback. Currently a French Canadian version under construction.
  • Sidelines National Support Network has many local chapters throughout the United States. The staff of Sidelines match women on bedrest with a woman who has experienced a similar bedrest. Also available is a magazine by and for women with high-risk pregnancies.
  • Spencer's Spencer's is a company well-known for layette and infant clothing. They have a well-organized web page, complete with on-line shopping services. They also have a catalog you can request.
  • Triplet Connection is a nonprofit network of caring and sharing for multiple-birth families. They provide information to families expecting triplets, quadruplets or more as well as encouragement, resources and networking opportunities for families who are parents of larger multiples. Includes a chat room, topics of interest, links, products, and information on their convention, among other things.
  • United Way of America offers helpful programs for low income families or single parents who need assistance while on bedrest. Consult your local telephone directory for a local listing, or call their number and inquire about services and funded agencies that are available.
  • Wal-Mart Wal-Mart offers a complete on-line store. Their entire store is available, just click on the "Infant and Baby" icon to move to that section.

  • At Health, Inc. includes excellent brief overviews of such mental health issues as bereavement, depression, stress and anxiety. Also includes names of mental health professionals around the United States who deal with such issues.
  • BabySteps is a a resource canter for parents and children who have lost a child or sibling of any age, and also provide a place of comfort. Sometimes I have trouble loading the front page, but once inside you will find a Sharing Room (one for kids, one for adults, and one for professionals), a brand new remembrance section (for children of any age), and a wonderful section with short reviews of over 65 books related to grief and loss of a child.   • Birth Defects Research for Children. Provide comprehensive fact sheets about birth defects, as well as other information. Also provide parent matching opportunities and information resources, including books and links or participate in the National Birth Defect Registry.

  • Fetal Treatment Center at UCSF Children's Hospital is a world leader in diagnosing and treating birth defects, using advanced therapies including fetal surgery. They have an extensive website including information on prenatal diagnosis.
  • Genetic Alliance includes a Directory of National Genetic Voluntary Organizations (list of over 300 support groups).
  • God's Little Ones. This artist creates incredibly lifelike dolls for people to remember their babies. The dolls range in gestational age from 6 weeks to full-term. The artist is a mother of a miscarried baby born at 8 weeks gestation, and preemie twins born 8 weeks early. The portrait dolls on this site were all made at the request of the parents of these real children. A couple warnings: first the site may be very slow to download as it is full of pictures and graphics. Secondly, this site is decidedly pro-life. And, thirdly, the images are very real and life-like (made from resin) and may be very intense for persons who have lost their infants through miscarriage or stillbirth.
  • Good Grief Rituals gives support for parents with poor prenatal diagnosis prior to birth and after-support. Poetry, personal stories, remembrances, support groups are just a few areas in this site.
  • Grief Net. A "general" grief site which includes: library; bulletin board; resource center; links to emergency services and a shopping mall.
  • Grief Resources. A site which offers the general grief resources of several companies. The video / audio offerings look especially promising, and there are cards as well as several book/booklets on specific grief topics.

  • HGSurvivor.org is a website that is dedicated to women and families who are suffering, or have survived, Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG). HG is a severe form of dibilitating morning sickness that occurs in approximately 2% of all pregnacies.

  • Julia's Journey with Spina Bifida. Includes personal stories, information, and links on Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus.
  • Labor of Love Pregnancy and Parenting Search Engine is a search engine devoted specifically to pregnancy-related issues and includes links for High Risk, Loss Support and Miscarriage among many others. Includes large book lists on topics of interest and information articles, i.e. ectopic pregnancy.
  • The Langer-Giedion Syndrome Association supports families affected by the Trichorhinophalangeal Syndromes (I, II, & III) and works with medical specialists to promote research. This website includes a discussion board and article abstracts in addition to links.
  • Lifelike Sculptures. Jennifer makes original, one of a kind baby sculptures. She take custom orders for sculptures of babies based on photos and centered on a celebration/honoring of babies before and after birth. She began sculpting after losing quintuplets, born at 23 weeks gestation, so her heart is definitely in what she does. The sculptures are not inexpensive, but seems more than reasonable for the incredible works of art that she produces.

  • Ramah is a nonprofit site ministering to those suffering from Post-Abortion Syndrome (PAS). This site is not position neutral (it is pro-life), but it is a valuable site for those who who are looking for support and resources in an effort to restore shattered lives.
  • Safe Haven is a place for healing from the trauma of abortion. Although the site says that they are not going to debate legality, morality or the religious ethics of abortion, please be aware that this site is definitely leaning to the pro-life side. However, having said that, it is an excellent site offering information on Post-Abortion Syndrome, provides crisis pregnancy information, offers a moderated bulletin board, and includes a section for men.
