IN MEMORY OF
JENNIFER CHRISTINE LEVY
born December 17, 1996 and
died December 19, 1996.
by Mommy and Daddy, who love you and miss you:
This poem is written in memory of our daughter:
If they could only understand.
If they could only understand that our baby girl was a person,
although she only lived for two days.
If they could only understand that a part of us died when she died
and even though the pain has lessoned, it will never go away.
If they could only understand that by having another baby
will not replace the one we lost.
If they could only understand why it is hard for us to hear
when someone is pregnant or when someone has given birth.
If they could they only understand that it is important to us
to always remember her and that it is alright to speak about her.
If they could only understand that just because she was only two days old
and not 80 years old that the pain is any different.
If they could only understand that we will always be her parents,
and she will always be our baby girl.
If they could only understand but how could they,
it did not happen to them.
Jennifer, Mommy misses you very much. I think of you everyday. I will never forget
the time we had together. I keep your picture close to my heart and I can not wait to
we are together again some day. Jennifer, Daddy misses you too. I will always love you.
