IN MEMORY OF
KYLE QUINLAN RAMIG
born August 23, 1998.
Remembered
by Rory and Mindi Ramig sisters Nikki and Veronica:
In Loving Memory of Kyle
Thank you all for coming here today and joining with us to eulogize our son Kyle.
This is not easy to do for a baby. We can't share activities that he was involved
in or hobbies that he would have chosen. We don't know if he would have enjoyed the
outdoors and nature as much as Mindi and I. He does however understand the warmth
and loving of an intimate, endless mothers hug.
In quiet times that only Mindi and Kyle shared the connection between mother and son
grew as Kyle grew physically. Often in the early morning she would wake up. Kyle
would entertain her with gentle kicks until she would fall asleep again. Most
afternoons he would gently hiccup rhythmically. Kyle amused her during meetings by
kicking and playing while she sat quietly. He knew what was important; play. You know
Mindi, she sure loves to eat. Kyle shared that with her. Mindi doesn't eat sugar but
you couldn't tell it by the way Kyle behaved.
Mindi and I remember the wonder of seeing the ultrasound pictures and hearing Kyle's
heartbeat for the first time. Kyle got to listen to Kitaro via headphones on Mindi's
tummy. We know he liked our favorite music. As Kyle grew bigger he loved to stretch
way out flexing his muscles just to say hello. I would lay my hand on Mindi's tummy
and ask Kyle what names he liked. When I said Merlin he kicked. We believe he didn't
like that name. Kyle knew when Dad was near. I was the one playfully pushing him and
giving him raspberries.
When we fall asleep at night Kyle will be flying around with us totally free in our
dreamy spirit world. Just imagine the purity of dreams a baby like Kyle has dreamt.
We are all travelers and Kyle let us share his journey here with him for a short time.
When we join him in time we will have eternity to share. Some might say that Kyle
didn't accomplish anything here on this earth. We disagree. Kyle has brought us
all closer together. The love that our family and friends have shown us is a
radiant gift that speaks well of all of us.
I will end with a quote from Rossiter Raymond: "Life is eternal, and love is
immortal; and death is only a horizon; and a horizon is nothing but the limit of
our sight."
