To my precious and sweet Angel Baby B,
You left us so early, your daddy and me.
We never got to hold you or kiss you, you see,
But you captured our hearts, and our love you'll always be.
We thanked God for you when he gave you to us,
We couldn't wait to hear your crying, your laughter, your fuss.
We didn't even get to see your beautiful smile,
Or tell you we loved you or even hear your cries.
Your Daddy would kiss my belly and make Mommy laugh,
Your Mommy would sing songs even though she sounded like a giraffe.
Your Daddy would whisper and talk to you over the phone,
I knew he couldn't wait to have you all alone.
I'm sure you have his eyes, his nose and his lips,
And from me I'm sure you have my ingenius tips.
We imagined holding you with your hand in ours,
We imagined doing that for days and for hours.
But then we awoke to this horrible reality,
That God took you away from us way much too early.
My womb is so empty, the pain is so deep.
In heaven you are, with God you will sleep.
A thousand words couldn't bring you back, believe me, I've tried,
A thousand tears couldn't bring you back, believe me, I've cried.
As we look to the heaven and wonder and stare,
The brightest star you'll be, a bright gleaming flare.
So I close my eyes and I begin to pray,
Dear Jesus, Oh Lord Bless me again one day.
Until we meet again my sweet baby love,
Please watch over Mommy and Daddy from heaven above.
